The Boys Did Good at Euro 2012

It seems that everyone is having their say on how the England Football team did at the Euro 12 tournament and we thought we would do the same.

The Three Lions, namely Gerrard, Terry and Welbeck performed admirably. Supported by their cast of Cubs, namely Carroll, Chamberlain and Walcott. Joe Hart also had a fine tournament and made some crucial saves in the first round of games.

England topped their group, finishing above the much vaunted French team and when has that last happened. We bet that Hodgson would love to see that cheeky French reporter again. Winning the group meant that the French had to play the Spanish juggernaut and that predictable only had one outcome.

Some new talent is unearthed and a foundation has been laid and they did not win the tournament. Did we really expect them to win the tournament? With the highly talented squads on display, the likes of the Spanish and Portuguese as well as the Germans, we think that England did themselves justice.

Making the Quarter finals of the tournament and going out to the Italians on penalties is no disgrace. What is a disgrace are the media attempts to sell newspapers by dragging up all sorts of theories and pundits questioning.

The latest seems to involve the squads’ fitness. Roy Hodgson has been an inspired selection by the FA and he put together a good run of results in very trying circumstances in a short period of time.

The semi finals of the Euro 2012 tournament are upon us and see Spain play Portugal in a mouth watering tie that should surely be the final. The German juggernaut faces the Italians and we do hope for once that the Germans prevail.

Our prediction for the semi finals of the Euro 2012 tournament are as follows. Portugal to beat Spain by the odd goal. Germany to outclass Italy.
