Nevada Issues 3 Online Gambling Licenses

The state of Nevada has issued its first online gambling licenses to operators. The three operators are marquee names in the world of gambling, two of the operators already run massive online gambling operations and the third is just starting out.

The three operators who got the new new licenses are William Hill and International Gaming Technology ( IGT ) . Both these operators already run significant online gambling operations. In the case of IGT they provide and license a wide range of casino games to operators like William Hill.

The final operator to gain a license in the state is Bally Technologies. Bally are similar to IGT in so much as they supply a wide range of Casino games to land based casinos. They have now launched their very first online gambling venture. The venture is a free to play poker site on Golden Nugget properties and sees the US gambling giant take its first steps online.

This is a further interesting development as the US Federal Government has taken a hard line towards online gambling operators who have targeted US players. Does this mean that further legislation is on the cards. Will it mean that in due course US citizens will legally be able to play a gambling game of their choice online.

For years the experts have pointed out that legislation and taxation is the only way forward and it does seem to finally have got through to the powers that be in the USA. The advent of major US Gambling companies coming online is about to begin and with that we should see further interesting changes in the world of gambling games.
