The last weekend of the English Premier League Football matches heralded some of the biggest gambling scenarios available to punters who place bets on Football. The fact that it was the two Manchester clubs competing for the title certainly added a bit of spice.

We all know now that City provided some last minute entertainment to us neutral supporters and went onto life the title for the first time in most of our life times by virtue of a better goal ratio and for that congratulations are in order. The supposed billion pound investment by the new Dubai based owners have it seems paid dividends for City supporters.

As per the title of the article, another fact that will find much glee with City supporters is the fact that founder of Bet Fred and United supporter Fred Done paid out £500k to punters who had bet on Man Utd winning the league. This was paid out in April as Fred thought that Utd were sure winners of the title.

The last time that Fred paid out punters early on Utd winning the title also saw Utd pipped at the post by Arsenal. Man Utd supporters are now saying that Fred has jinxed the team. That is one allegation that Mr. Done has refuted on a video on You Tube and it does make perfect sense. How on earth could he have jinxed a team when he has not played in a single game?

Manchester City supporters will also find it heart warming that Bet Fred have an additional £300k in pay outs going to punters who predicted that City would win the title. This has been an expensive end of season experience for Bet Fred. Perhaps instead of paying out punters in the future he can buy a player for our local team, although we guess that would make punters a little less happy.

To end if off, well done to Manchester City on winning the league and well done to Mr. Done for taking it on the chin and conducting himself in a manner befitting a top bookmaker.

According to reports Japanse Social Gaming sites have started to remove gambling type games from their inventory of games. The main reason for the removal of these gambling games is down to regulation in Japan and the meeting of requirements for having games of this nature on sites.

Up until now the addition of gambling type games to social media sites has been a bit of a grey area but we do expect for this kind of increased regulation to be applied in all markets. The very fact that a person has to pay to play a game of chance automatically makes it a gambling type game irrespective of what platform it is hosted on.

We have been saying for weeks that a large amount of companies are making a massive mistake by thinking that social gaming equates to social gambling. Social Gaming is not about gambling, it is about playing a game that you enjoy that can while away a few minutes or hours.

Making payments on games that involve no skill automatically creates a gambling environment and then quite rightly these operators would need to conform to gambling legislation in their own areas as the Japanese social game companies have found.

We look forward to the conitnued rollout of social games and are most interested to see what Facebook and other popular Social Networking sites will do in regards to gambling type games on their networks.

We do realize that we are devoting a lot of space and time to the subject of social games on the site, we do want to emphasise the point that we do not believe social gaming is likely to lead to gambling and hope and understand that companies involved in the social gaming sphere understand this.

The only reason why these companies would want to add gambling type games onto social games platforms is to squeeze the bottom line or boost share prices. We think that adding gambling to the mix on social gaming is wrong and there should be a distinct and clear distance kept between social games and gambling type games.

Playtech PLC have according to reports in the UK media done a u turn in regards to purchasing Social Gaming assets from the founder of the company.

The UK gambling company was in talks in regards to making a £77 million acquisition of social gaming assets which had the effect of raising some concerns amongst industry analysts.

If this deal had gone through it would have seen Mr. Sagi who founded the company and who still owns 48% of its shares paid out yet again by the company for a product he has built. Mr. Sagi has managed to sell a number of related gambling concerns back to Playtech in recent times including the much maligned Euro Partners marketing division.

Euro Partners provides an affiliate marketing service to a large number of Playtech Casinos and has established a less than salubrious reputation according to some Affiliate Forums. Playtech are according to reports wanting to gain a premium listing on the Stock Exchange which would mean additional regulation and have therefore taken a number of steps to ensure that it is seen to be doing the right thing in terms of acting independently.

It has therefore decided to scrap the Social Gaming purchase and pursue a software licensing deal with Mr. Sagi that would be conducted in an independent impartial manner. The continual purchase of gambling and gaming related concerns by Playtech from its largest shareholder and founder of the company must be raising some eyebrows.

At the present time Playtech software does power some of the biggest names in British Gambling including William Hill with who it has a joint venture and Windows Casino which is a long standing popular European and UK Online Casino.

There is no doubt that Playtech is one of the foremost gambling companies with a wide range of products including outstanding poker and bingo products, why could it not build these social gaming products instead of purchasing them from the founder of the group. Perhaps the strategy of the group is to aquire rather than create.

Playtech Plc has in the past managed to aquire vast amounts of products and to intergrate them slowly into their various products. This makes Playtech a formidable company in the gambling space and if i where a betting man and i am i would be looking to aquire shares in this UK gambling company.

The hype and talk about social gaming being the next frontier for gambling is a bit confusing. We say that as we are bombarded each day with headlines predicting Zyngas move into Online Gambling or predictions re what Facebook is going to be doing with all of the revenue they are going to make from opening up to online gambling.

We are a bit wondrous at the way this has all come about. It seems to be a sorry state of affairs we think when companies and level headed people at Media outlets can confuse playing games for fun on a social gaming platform with playing it for real money on an online gambling site.

Since when has going onto Facebook and playing Midas Solitaire equated to online gambling. We do know that there are companies out there who would like this to be the case and to make money from it all sorts of social games have been built that players can now play and then pay for. But for the love of money how does playing a game for fun equate to online gambling.

We prefer to stick to the old fashioned way of gambling. Why these imaginary scenario games for money when you can sign up to an online gambling venue that is licensed and regulated and play for much bigger jackpots. Everything that can be found at a land based gambling establishment can now be found at online gambling venues and more.

We think that there is a space for everyone in this market but please stop confusing social gaming with online gambling. The two are vastly different and should remain that way.

Playtech Casinos are in line to receive three new slot games within the next few weeks. Playtech Casino are popular with gamblers in the United Kingdom due to the wide range of games that the Casinos posses.

The 50000 Pyramid Slots game is both unusual in name and in format. The slot game features a numbered name which is not the norm for online slot games these days; it does originate from a game show which in itself is not unusual for gambling games.

This particular gambling game is a 5 reel 15 pay line game that features a maximum jackpot of 50000. A lucky UK gambler has recently won a staggering £15k in a single spin playing the 50000 Pyramid Slots game at Spin and Win.

The lucky player hit a bonus round on his first spin on the game betting £45 and on his tenth free spin he managed to hit symbols that awarded him with £15090, 00 in winnings. In total the player walked away from the 50000 Pyramid Slots game with over £17k in winnings over the weekend at Spin and Win Casino.

The 50000 Pyramid Slots game is an IGT slots game that does have some popularity due to the big multiplier wins that are possible on the gambling game. Players on the game can get up to a 10x multiplier on line wins on the game.

Spin and Win Casino is a recent newcomer to the UK gambling arena and has also proven to be a popular addition with its range of Free Bonuses and weekly and monthly player offers.

Spin and Win are offering UK gamblers a £20 free registration bonus along with a triple sign up bonus. Spin and Win feature casino games from IGT, Microgaming and Sheriff making it a one stop entertainment venue for players who enjoy the widest variety of gambling games.

The NFL is for the first time allowing limited gambling advertising within stadiums and game programs. All of the gambling advertisements are related to state licensed institutions so this rules out all online gambling companies.

The NFL has previously allowed teams to promote Scratch Card games and the ruling re gambling advertisements although limited in nature means that yet another avenue of revenue has been created for some powerful brands in the USA.

Gambling advertisements can only appear in the game program and the upper and lower concourses of stadiums. Gambling venues are also able to advertise via Radio but none of the advertisements are to be endorsed by either players or NFL franchises.

In the United Kingdom and Europe we have already been through this process with a number of top football and other sporting sides being sponsored by gambling companies. The argument for this is that it raises funds for more grass roots development of sports and the argument against it is that it allows powerful brands to be associated with gambling. Some might view this as being detrimental to younger members of society.

We live in an age where gamblers are able to bet on anything at any time and anywhere so we think that the NFL allowing some gambling advertising is a good thing and restricting the amount and nature of advertising is also a good thing.

Wonderland Slots is a progressive jackpot slot game that has made one UK housewife a very happy lady indeed. The lucky player won a massive £131,758 playing this unique slot game at Jackpot Joy.

Jackpot Joy are one of the last bastions UK online gambling game venues to remain in the country and have a wide range of unique games. Wonderland slots is a multi line slot, players can opt to bet in 25 line bundles and there are in total 100 pay lines that can be bet on.

The progressive jackpot can be won in any of the four unique bonus rounds on the game and the more lines you bet the more chance there is of winning the progressive jackpot.

Wonderland Slots also asks slot players upon entering the game which of the 4 progressive jackpots the would like to win. At this time the highest slot jackpot is available on the 5 pence betting lines.
